Recently we have some feedbacks from our customers, some of the user doesnt know how to connect the DMX strip with controller and doesnt know how to control it.
Here we would share some ideas for reference:
Connect the DMX strip to the power source and plug it into a regular power outlet.
Using a DMX cable, connect the DMX strip to the DMX Slave device. A DMX Slave device could be either a DMX decoder or a DMX controller. Make that the DMX ports on the strip and the Slave device are matched.
Using another DMX wire, connect the DMX Slave device to the DMX Master device. A lighting console or a DMX controller can serve as the DMX Master device. Match the DMX ports on both devices once more.
To avoid electrical problems, ensure that all devices are correctly grounded.
After you’ve established the physical connections, you’ll need to address the DMX strip and configure the DMX addressing on the DMX Master device.
Once the devices are properly addressed, you can use the DMX Master device to operate the DMX strip. Send DMX signals and control the strip’s properties such as color, brightness, and effects using the Master device’s controls such as faders, buttons, or a touchscreen.
Note:The exact steps will vary depending on the DMX equipment you are using. More thorough information can be found in the user manuals or manufacturer’s instructions for your devices.
